The goal of the mentorship program is to empower transitioning service members who have chosen to pursue careers in commercial aviation. At the same time, current pilots—ranging from private pilots to CFIs—benefit from gaining valuable experience mentoring the next generation of aviators. Veterans Navigating Aviation aims to bridge these needs by fostering meaningful, mutually beneficial mentorship relationships.

Yes! While we are mainly targeting the active-duty community and those who recently transitioned out of active duty, we are more than willing to consider National Guard/Reservist applications.

Yes, please do. While we are hoping to expand the community of active-duty military members in the aviation community, we are more than willing to support the dreams of those already working towards their ratings. Mentorship at this level might look a little bit different as academic tutoring might be a more productive use of the mentorship program.
